Default Four Spoke Sport Steering Wheel 70-72

Hi Guys.
I just picked up a 4 spoke sport steering wheel for my 72 Chevelle. This came out of a 70-72 Camaro
As I took apart my old wheel there is the 1 wire lead that connects to the old horn button spade connector. I don't see this anywhere on the new wheel. Any Ideas?

You will need to remove the wire with the spade connector. Push down slightly and turn the plastic piece that goes into the steering column and it will come right out. Next you will need to find or buy the horn parts for the new wheel if they did not come with the 4 spoke wheel. They are available aftermarket for camaro's, nova's and chevelles.I believe there is a contact pin, spring & retainer. The pin protrudes up and rubs against the horn contact plate under the 4 spoke steering horn button. Try looking at some pictures in the aftermarket catalogs and you see what I'm talking about.

Good Luck

Hi Guys.
Im still having a little trouble trying to figure out exactly what parts to purchase for my wheel. I included some pics.

The first one is of my horn contact now
http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/s...2.jpg&newest=1

The 2nd one is a pic of a 4 spoke wheel with a contact coming through the hub
http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/s...1.jpg&newest=1

The 3rd one is of the wheel I have to hook up. Notice there are no holes for any horn contact to come through? Thats what is confusing me
http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/s...3.jpg&newest=1

Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Al

I installed one of the 4 spoke wheels on my 71 and used the following parts. This is probably what you need.

That looks about what I need. Let me ask you a question. On your horn, does the contact come all the way through the hub? On the back of mine there is a spot for the horn contact " a little indentation " but it doesn't go all the way through. Is this something I need to drill out?

Hi guys.
Ok, I know I need to change my horn contact to the spring and pin as show in the post above.

But there are two different types of steering hubs. One has the hole
pre drilled for the contact as shown here
http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/s...=steering1.jpg

Mine has no predrilled holes as shown in this pic.

Do I need to replace the hub, drill the holes out?? I need a little help here guys.
Thanks
Al
