Getting to the inside of a boxed frame to POR-15 it

I know the outside of a frame can be blasted, treated with metal-prep and then POR-15, but what do you do with the inside of a boxed frame? Do you media blast the inside first? This isn't something I'd like to skip when the time comes because it rusted from the inside out in spots already.
I know some of you use special wands to spray in there. Where do you get them and are there any special techniques to using them/getting them in there? How do they hook up to the paint gun?

Most of the wands these guys use are home made. Most of the ones I've read about are made from some sort of modified bug sprayer. You can get a pump-up bug sprayer fairly cheap from places like Home Depot. Another idea is to swab the inside of the box with a toilet brush, the kind that has the little sponge fingers. Either way will be messy.

I had seen a undercoating sprayer in Eastwoods catalog that I've been eyeing to do the same job. I also purchased a chimney sweep brush to clean out the insides of the channels. I plan on power spraying when I'm done brushing, for the fact that I'm afraid I wouldnt get all of the silica media out if I blasted. My $.02

Powerwashing would be a better idea, I never thought of that. I'll check out that undercoating sprayer, the bug sprayer sounds like a good idea too. Thanks for the info.

We inspected our frame ('69 Elke) before it was powdercoated. They really did a great job on getting the inside area(s) beadblasted.

When they finished the powdercoating, we carefully inspected the whole frame with a high powered flashlite, and boy did they do a great job.

We sprayed our firewall with POR-15 Silver, and feel you would get all of the areas by spraying it. Actually, we were suprised how "Professional" the firewall turned out, then we covered it with brushed aluminum (2 sections).

Hope this helps.
