Removing Engine attachment points

Hi,

I've got everything set up to remove the engine and transmission on a 65 327. I've read that I can use two attachment points for the chain diagonally opposite one another . One at the front and one in the back. These two points would be the bolts that hold down the intake manifold ( which has been removed). The two bolts with the most thread are tightened all the way down into the block using all the threads and two small sections of 2" x 2" x 1/8" angle with holes in them for the bolts and the "S" hooks that I'll attach the chain to. What I'm worried about are the bolts pulling out of the block and destroying those threads. I've read that this is a method typically used. Does this sound like it will hold ?

Thanks,

Lou

What kind of S hooks are you using?
